In honour of Women's History Month, I'm discussing various legal issues affecting women in the workplace on LinkedIn. Each week, I pick a theme, and this past week's was workplace domestic violence. The subjects covered included:
a case study of a then-Fortune 500 company's successful creation of a workplace domestic violence program;
adequately defining domestic violence;
when an employer becomes legally required to respond to domestic violence;
conducting risk assessments for domestic violence in the workplace; and
how to incorporate a survivor-centric workplace domestic violence action plan into the mandatory workplace violence policy and program.
