In honour of Women's History Month, my video series is focusing on a different women's issue in the workplace for each week of March. This past week's theme was sexual harassment at work. The subjects covered included:
the challenges of dealing with real life harassment cases, where the complainant may have their own disciplinary record and the harassment is not sexual but gendered;
the legal requirement to cover gender and rape myths in workplace training programs;
the legal significance of intersectionality in discrimination and harassment cases;
pros and cons of taking your harassment complaint to the human rights tribunal; and
making your training program more effective via bystander intervention training.
You can find more details on each of these points in the descriptions attached to these videos.
I also did a corresponding series on LinkedIn for employers, which digs deeper into the research and provides more details on setting up an effective workplace sexual harassment policy and program.
