investigations

Neutral, trauma and violence-informed, anti-oppressive

I conduct workplace investigations with care, applying an intersectional lens to uncover harassment, microaggressions, and systemic issues that are often overlooked—without finding problems where none exist. Each investigation is structured, evidence-based, and designed to maintain confidentiality, clarity, and fairness for everyone involved.

HOW I APPROACH INVESTIGATIONS

neutral & evidence-based

Investigations follow a structured, evidence-based process with clear timelines and confidentiality safeguards, ensuring all parties know what to expect. I navigate conflicting narratives, subtle harassment, microaggressions, and systemic dynamics with care, ensuring that all voices are heard and respected.

trauma and violence-informed practices

I apply trauma-informed principles to create psychologically and emotionally safe environments for all participants. This includes:

  • Conducting unhurried interviews in safe, private settings

  • Balancing empathy with neutral language

  • Giving participants a sense of control

These practices help reduce re-traumatization and build trust throughout the investigative process.

anti-oppressive & intersectional lens

I recognize that power dynamics, privilege, and systemic inequities can influence workplace experiences. My investigations are informed by an anti-oppressive framework, considering:

  • How race, gender, disability, and other identities affect experiences of harm

  • How dominant culture privilege shapes perceptions and behaviors

  • The importance of cultural competence and humility in understanding diverse perspectives

This ensures all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, while systemic issues are identified and addressed.

Handle sensitive matters with confidence.

Neutral, trauma and violence-informed investigations help your organization respond fairly, reduce risk, and foster a safer, more equitable workplace.
