Quick tips on decoding your probation clause

The theme for this week's videos was all about probation. In these short video clips, I went over:
your probation clause doesn't apply if your job offer is pulled before your first day of work;
probation can generally be of any length, but that doesn't mean you can be let go without notice or compensation;
your probation clause needs to correctly acknowledge the threshold at which you're entitled to notice or compensation; and
if your contract gets any of these things wrong, you'll be entitled to "common law reasonable notice", which works out to anywhere between a few weeks to a few months' pay.
