Parental Leave 101

In honour of Women's History Month, my video series is focusing on a different women's issue in the workplace for each week of March. This past week's theme was parental leave (including maternity/pregnancy leave and paternity leave). The subjects covered included:
an employee's right to be kept in the loop on new opportunities and major changes affecting their role while off on leave;
family status accommodation of childcare needs after returning to work from leave;
an employee's right to choose if/when to go on leave;
accommodation of breastfeeding needs; and
reinstatement rights after returning from leave.
